Carbohydrate products can help support longer or harder sessions. Practise the format and timing before an important ride.
Practical cycling nutrition for energy, hydration and recovery—explained for real rides and UAE conditions, not simply presented as products.
SiS develops sports-nutrition products for different moments around exercise. The useful starting point is the job you need the product to do, how long and hard you expect to ride, and what your own stomach tolerates.
Carbohydrate products can help support longer or harder sessions. Practise the format and timing before an important ride.
Fluid and electrolyte needs change with heat, humidity, intensity, body size and individual sweat rate.
After demanding riding, normal meals remain central. Convenient carbohydrate-and-protein products can support a planned recovery routine.

SiS organises its cycling guidance around three moments. CSD uses that structure because it is easy to understand, but the quantities must still be adapted to the rider, the session and the conditions.
Begin adequately fed and hydrated. Avoid introducing unfamiliar food or products immediately before a long or important ride.
For longer or harder rides, use a practised combination of fluid, carbohydrate and electrolytes that you can consume consistently.
Replace fluid, eat carbohydrate and include protein as part of your recovery—especially when another demanding session follows soon.
Do not wait for event day to discover that a gel, drink strength or meal timing does not suit you.
Science in Sport states that every finished-product batch is tested through the Informed Sport programme. Informed Sport uses an anti-doping laboratory to screen certified batches for a broad range of substances prohibited in sport.
That is a risk-reduction measure—not a guarantee that supplements are risk-free. WADA and anti-doping organisations do not approve or certify supplements. Under strict liability, athletes remain responsible for substances found in their body.
Competition athletes should verify the product and batch, retain proof of purchase and seek guidance from a qualified sports dietitian or their anti-doping organisation.
SiS notes that sweat-sodium losses can vary substantially between athletes. Temperature, humidity, pace, duration, acclimatisation and clothing also affect how much fluid and sodium is lost.
Heavy salt marks on kit, stinging eyes or a very salty taste may suggest higher sodium loss, but they do not replace proper assessment.
A short easy ride and a long fast summer ride do not create the same fuelling or hydration demands.
Riders with medical conditions, recurrent cramping, unusual fatigue or heat symptoms should speak with an appropriate health professional.
