Grip
Compound, casing, tread, width and pressure influence confidence under braking and cornering.
Road, training, gravel and off-road tyre systems explained through grip, speed, durability, puncture protection and the surfaces you actually ride.
Vittoria produces bicycle tyres, tubulars and inner tubes across road and off-road disciplines. Its product choices balance four competing priorities: grip, speed, durability and puncture resistance.
Compound, casing, tread, width and pressure influence confidence under braking and cornering.
A supple, efficient tyre can reduce energy loss—but the fastest option on paper may not be the most practical for every route.
Training, commuting and rougher surfaces can justify more protection and durability than a pure race tyre provides.

Begin with where and how you ride, then confirm rim compatibility, tyre clearance, width, construction and the pressure range appropriate to the full system.
Prioritises speed, cornering feel and low rolling resistance, with protection appropriate to the course and event.
Balances dependable grip, service life, puncture protection and everyday value for repeated kilometres.
Tread pattern, casing support and volume become more important as surfaces loosen and impacts increase.
Heat, debris, long exposed routes and high-speed group riding all make condition checks and the correct pressure important before every ride.
The names describe different tyre-and-rim systems. Compatibility and correct installation matter more than following a trend.
A separate inner tube contains the air. It is familiar and serviceable, but pinch flats and tube friction remain considerations.
A compatible tyre, rim, valve and sealant create the air system. It can improve puncture management, but sealant and setup need maintenance.
The tube is enclosed inside the tyre and the complete unit is fixed to a compatible rim. It is specialist equipment, most often associated with racing.
Tyre labels, rim specifications, wheel guidance and bicycle clearance must agree. If unsure, ask an experienced workshop to inspect and install it.
A good tyre cannot compensate for damage, incorrect installation or neglected pressure.
Look for cuts, exposed casing, bulges, embedded debris and unusual wear on both tyres.
Use a pressure appropriate to tyre width, system limits, rider load and conditions—not simply the maximum printed figure.
For tubeless systems, monitor sealant, valves and bead condition. Carry the equipment needed for a repair that does not seal.
Do not continue riding a damaged or structurally compromised tyre because the tread still appears usable.
